specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of CP. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between CP and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between CP and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
storage stability :
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Assay Type: Competitive. Sensitivity: 1.0 ng/mL.
other info2 :
Intended Uses: This CP ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Bovine CP. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic applications!
products description :
Principle of the assay: CP ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-CP antibody and an CP-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CP-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CP concentration since CP from samples and CP-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CP antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CP from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CP-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CP concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

uniprot summary :
CKM: Reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens (e.g. creatine phosphate). Creatine kinase isoenzymes play a central role in energy transduction in tissues with large, fluctuating energy demands, such as skeletal muscle, heart, brain and spermatozoa. Belongs to the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase family. Protein type: Kinase, other; Amino Acid Metabolism - arginine and proline; EC 2.7.3.2. Cellular Component: cytoplasm. Molecular Function: creatine kinase activity; ATP binding. Biological Process: phosphocreatine biosynthetic process; phosphorylation
