specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of LXA4. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between LXA4 and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between LXA4 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
storage stability :
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Assay Type: Competitive. Sensitivity: 0.1 ng/mL.
other info2 :
Intended Uses: This LXA4 ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Rat LXA4. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic applications!
products description :
Principle of the assay: LXA4 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-LXA4 antibody and an LXA4-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with LXA4-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the LXA4 concentration since LXA4 from samples and LXA4-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-LXA4 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by LXA4 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind LXA4-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The LXA4 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

uniprot summary :
FPR2: Low affinity receptor for N-formyl-methionyl peptides, which are powerful neutrophils chemotactic factors. Binding of FMLP to the receptor causes activation of neutrophils. This response is mediated via a G-protein that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The activation of LXA4R could result in an anti-inflammatory outcome counteracting the actions of proinflammatory signals such as LTB4 (leukotriene B4). Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. Protein type: Membrane protein, multi-pass; GPCR, family 1; Membrane protein, integral; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Receptor, GPCR. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.3-q13.4. Cellular Component: integral to membrane; plasma membrane. Molecular Function: G-protein coupled receptor activity; N-formyl peptide receptor activity. Biological Process: G-protein coupled receptor protein signaling pathway; inflammatory response; cell adhesion; chemotaxis; cell motility
