specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of RAET1L. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between RAET1L and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between RAET1L and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
storage stability :
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Assay Type: Competitive. Sensitivity: 0.1 ng/mL.
other info2 :
Intended Uses: This RAET1L ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Sheep RAET1L. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic applications!

products description :
Principle of the assay: RAET1L ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-RAET1L antibody and an RAET1L-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with RAET1L-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the RAET1L concentration since RAET1L from samples and RAET1L-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-RAET1L antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by RAET1L from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind RAET1L-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The RAET1L concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

ncbi summary :
RAET1L belongs to the RAET1 family of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I-related genes, which are located within a 180-kb cluster on chromosome 6q24.2-q25.3. The REAT1 genes encode glycoproteins that contain extracellular alpha-1 and alpha-2 domains, but they lack the membrane proximal Ig-like alpha-3 domain. Most RAET1 glycoproteins are anchored to the membrane via glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI) linkage (Radosavljevic et al., 2002 [PubMed 11827464]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
