specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of sIL1R4/ST2. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between sIL1R4/ST2 and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between sIL1R4/ST2 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
storage stability :
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Assay Type: Competitive. Sensitivity: 0.1 ng/mL.
other info2 :
Intended Uses: This sIL1R4/ST2 ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Rat sIL1R4/ST2. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic applications!

products description :
Principle of the assay: sIL1R4 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-sIL1R4 antibody and an sIL1R4-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with sIL1R4-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the sIL1R4 concentration since sIL1R4 from samples and sIL1R4-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-sIL1R4 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by sIL1R4 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind sIL1R4-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The sIL1R4 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

uniprot summary :
IL1RL1: receptor for IL33. Its stimulation recruits MYD88, IRAK1, IRAK4, and TRAF6, followed by phosphorylation of ERK1 and/or ERK2, p38-alpha, and JNK1. Apparently promotes the activation and differentiation of T-helper 2 cells. Belongs to the interleukin-1 receptor family. Highly expressed in kidney, lung, placenta, stomach, skeletal muscle, colon and small intestine. Three isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Isoform A is prevalently expressed in the lung, testis, placenta, stomach and colon. Isoform B is more abundant in the brain, kidney and the liver. Isoform C is not detected in brain, heart, liver, kidney and skeletal muscle. Protein type: Receptor, cytokine; Membrane protein, integral. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q12. Cellular Component: extracellular matrix; integral to membrane; extracellular region; external side of plasma membrane. Molecular Function: hematopoietin/interferon-class (D200-domain) cytokine receptor activity; protein binding; receptor signaling protein activity; interleukin-1 receptor activity. Biological Process: negative regulation of T-helper 1 type immune response; negative regulation of interferon-gamma production; immune response; negative regulation of I-kappaB kinase/NF-kappaB cascade; signal transduction; positive regulation of interleukin-5 production; positive regulation of macrophage activation; positive regulation of inflammatory response
