specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of NFE2R2. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between NFE2R2 and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between NFE2R2 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
storage stability :
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
other info1 :
Assay Type: Competitive or Sandwich. Samples: Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Sensitivity: 0.1 ng/mL.
products description :
Intended Uses: This NFE2R2 ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Mouse NFE2R2. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic applications!. Principle of the Assay NFE2R2 ELISA kit applies the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate has been pre-coated with a monoclonal antibody specific for NFE2R2. Standards or samples are then added to the microtiter plate wells and NFE2R2 if present, will bind to the antibody pre-coated wells. In order to quantitatively determine the amount of NFE2R2 present in the sample, a standardized preparation of horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated polyclonal antibody, specific for NFE2R2 are added to each well to "sandwich" the NFE2R2 immobilized on the plate. The microtiter plate undergoes incubation, and then the wells are thoroughly washed to remove all unbound components. Next, substrate solutions are added to each well. The enzyme (HRP) and substrate are allowed to react over a short incubation period. Only those wells that contain NFE2R2 and enzyme-conjugated antibody will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The NFE2R2 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a transcription factor which is a member of a small family of basic leucine zipper (bZIP) proteins. The encoded transcription factor regulates genes which contain antioxidant response elements (ARE) in their promoters; many of these genes encode proteins involved in response to injury and inflammation which includes the production of free radicals. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2012]
uniprot summary :
NRF2: a transcription factor that regulates basal expression and antioxidant induction of a transcription factor for NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase-1 (NQO1) and other detoxifying genes. Targeted for proteasomal degradation by INrf2. Oxidative stress causes its phosphorylation and release from INrf2. Protein type: Transcription factor; DNA-binding. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2q31. Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; centrosome; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; nucleus; cytosol; chromatin. Molecular Function: protein domain specific binding; protein binding; DNA binding; transcription factor activity. Biological Process: transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; proteasomal ubiquitin-dependent protein catabolic process; positive regulation of blood coagulation; unfolded protein response; regulation of embryonic development; proteasomal ubiquitin-independent protein catabolic process; protein ubiquitination; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter
