reactivity :
Human
specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of RAET-1G. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between RAET-1G and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between RAET-1G and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
storage stability :
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Assay Type: Competitive. Sensitivity: 0.1 ng/mL.
other info2 :
Intended Uses: This RAET-1G ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Human RAET-1G. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic applications!

products description :
Principle of the assay: RAET-1G ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-RAET-1G antibody and an RAET-1G-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with RAET-1G-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the RAET-1G concentration since RAET-1G from samples and RAET-1G-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-RAET-1G antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by RAET-1G from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind RAET-1G-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The RAET-1G concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

ncbi summary :
Members of the RAET1 family, such as RAET1G, are major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I-related genes located within a 180-kb cluster on chromosome 6q24.2-q25.3. RAET1 proteins contain MHC class I-like alpha-1 and alpha-2 domains. RAET1E (MIM 609243) and RAET1G differ from the other RAET1 proteins (e.g., RAET1I, or ULBP1; MIM 605697) in that they have type I membrane-spanning sequences at their C termini rather than glycosylphosphatidylinositol anchor sequences. (Radosavljevic et al., 2002 [PubMed 11827464]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
uniprot summary :
RAET1G: Acts as a ligand for the NKG2D receptor and mediates NK cell cytotoxicity via the receptor. Belongs to the MHC class I family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Membrane protein, integral. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6q24.1-q25.1. Cellular Component: endoplasmic reticulum; integral to membrane; extracellular region; plasma membrane. Molecular Function: peptide antigen binding; natural killer cell lectin-like receptor binding. Biological Process: antigen processing and presentation of peptide antigen via MHC class I; natural killer cell mediated cytotoxicity
