specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of RBP4. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between RBP4 and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between RBP4 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
storage stability :
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Assay Type: Competitive. Sensitivity: 0.1 ?g/mL.
other info2 :
Intended Uses: This RBP4 ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Bovine RBP4. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic applications!

products description :
Principle of the assay: RBP4 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-RBP4 antibody and an RBP4-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with RBP4-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the RBP4 concentration since RBP4 from samples and RBP4-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-RBP4 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by RBP4 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind RBP4-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The RBP4 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
