specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of CD30L. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between CD30L and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between CD30L and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
storage stability :
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.

products description :
Intended Uses: This CD30L ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Monkey CD30L. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic applications!. Principle of the Assay: CD30L ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-CD30L antibody and an CD30L-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CD30L-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CD30L concentration since CD30L from samples and CD30L-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CD30L antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CD30L from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CD30L-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CD30L concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. This cytokine is a ligand for TNFRSF8/CD30, which is a cell surface antigen and a marker for Hodgkin lymphoma and related hematologic malignancies. The engagement of this cytokine expressed on B cell surface plays an inhibitory role in modulating Ig class switch. This cytokine was shown to enhance cell proliferation of some lymphoma cell lines, while to induce cell death and reduce cell proliferation of other lymphoma cell lines. The pleiotropic biologic activities of this cytokine on different CD30+ lymphoma cell lines may play a pathophysiologic role in Hodgkin's and some non-Hodgkin's lymphomas. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2011]
