specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Anti-RNP. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Anti-RNP and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between Anti-RNP and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
storage stability :
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Intended Uses: This Anti-RNP ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Mouse Anti-RNP. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic applications!

products description :
Principle of the assay: Anti-RNP ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing RNP antigen and an Anti-RNP-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with Anti-RNP-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the Anti-RNP concentration since Anti-RNP from samples and Anti-RNP-HRP conjugate compete for the RNP antigen binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by Anti-RNP from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind Anti-RNP-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The Anti-RNP concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

ncbi summary :
This gene belongs to the subfamily of ubiquitously expressed heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). The hnRNPs are RNA binding proteins and they complex with heterogeneous nuclear RNA (hnRNA). These proteins are associated with pre-mRNAs in the nucleus and appear to influence pre-mRNA processing and other aspects of mRNA metabolism and transport. While all of the hnRNPs are present in the nucleus, some seem to shuttle between the nucleus and the cytoplasm. The hnRNP proteins have distinct nucleic acid binding properties. The protein encoded by this gene has three repeats of quasi-RRM domains that bind to RNAs. This protein also constitutes a monomer of the N-acetylglucosamine-specific receptor which is postulated to trigger selective recycling of immature GlcNAc-bearing thyroglobulin molecules. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]
