specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of YWHAB. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between YWHAB and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between YWHAB and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
storage stability :
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Assay Type: Competitive. Sensitivity: 0.1 ng/mL.

products description :
Intended Uses This YWHAB ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Human YWHAB. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic applications!. Principle of the Assay: YWHAB ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-YWHAB antibody and an YWHAB-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with YWHAB-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the YWHAB concentration since YWHAB from samples and YWHAB-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-YWHAB antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by YWHAB from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind YWHAB-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The YWHAB concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a protein belonging to the 14-3-3 family of proteins, members of which mediate signal transduction by binding to phosphoserine-containing proteins. This highly conserved protein family is found in both plants and mammals. The encoded protein has been shown to interact with RAF1 and CDC25 phosphatases, suggesting that it may play a role in linking mitogenic signaling and the cell cycle machinery. Two transcript variants, which encode the same protein, have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
