specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of SPRR1A. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between SPRR1A and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between SPRR1A and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
storage stability :
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Assay Type: Competitive. Sensitivity: 0.1 ng/mL.

products description :
Intended Uses: This SPRR1A ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Human SPRR1A. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic applications!. Principle of the Assay SPRR1A ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-SPRR1A antibody and an SPRR1A-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with SPRR1A-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the SPRR1A concentration since SPRR1A from samples and SPRR1A-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-SPRR1A antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by SPRR1A from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind SPRR1A-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The SPRR1A concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

uniprot summary :
SPRR1A: Cross-linked envelope protein of keratinocytes. It is a keratinocyte protein that first appears in the cell cytosol, but ultimately becomes cross-linked to membrane proteins by transglutaminase. All that results in the formation of an insoluble envelope beneath the plasma membrane. Belongs to the cornifin (SPRR) family. Protein type: Adaptor/scaffold. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1q21-q22. Cellular Component: cytoplasm; cornified envelope. Molecular Function: protein binding, bridging; protein binding; structural molecule activity. Biological Process: keratinocyte differentiation; epidermis development; keratinization; peptide cross-linking
