specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of MLLT4. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between MLLT4 and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between MLLT4 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
storage stability :
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Assay Type: Competitive. Sensitivity: 0.1 ng/mL.
other info2 :
Intended Uses: This MLLT4 ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Porcine MLLT4. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic applications!

products description :
Principle of the assay: MLLT4 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-MLLT4 antibody and an MLLT4-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with MLLT4-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the MLLT4 concentration since MLLT4 from samples and MLLT4-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-MLLT4 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by MLLT4 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind MLLT4-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The MLLT4 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a multi-domain protein involved in signaling and organization of cell junctions during embryogenesis. It has also been identified as the fusion partner of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL-1) gene, involved in acute myeloid leukemias with t(6;11)(q27;q23) translocation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene, however, not all have been fully characterized.[provided by RefSeq, May 2011]
uniprot summary :
Afadin: plays a role in adhesion by participating, along with E-cadherin and catenin, in the organization of homotypic, interneuronal and heterotypic cell-cell adherens junctions (AJs). Essential for the association of nectin and E-cadherin. Contains 1 forkhead-associated (FHA) domain, a phosphopeptide recognition domain; 1 dilute (DIL) domain, a myosin-like domain which may play a functional role in cellular processes or vectorial vesicle transport; 1 PDZ domain, which frequently binds the carboxyl-terminal sequences of proteins or phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate in the plasma membrane; and 2 RA domains, which are associated with RasGTP effector activity. Five alternatively spliced isoforms have been described. Isoform 2 does not interact with F-actin. Protein type: Cell adhesion; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Oncoprotein. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 6q27. Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; cell-cell adherens junction; apical part of cell; cytoplasm; plasma membrane; intercellular junction; cytosol; cell junction. Molecular Function: protein C-terminus binding; protein binding; Ras GTPase binding; cell adhesion molecule binding. Biological Process: intercellular junction assembly and maintenance; cell-cell signaling; signal transduction; cell adhesion
