specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of CSC3B3. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between CSC3B3 and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between CSC3B3 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
storage stability :
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.

products description :
Intended Uses: This CSC3B3 ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Canine CSC3B3. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic applications!. Principle of the Assay: CSC3B3 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing an anti-CSC3B3 antibody and an CSC3B3-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CSC3B3-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CSC3B3 concentration since CSC3B3 from samples and CSC3B3-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CSC3B3 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CSC3B3 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CSC3B3-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CSC3B3 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the somatotropin/prolactin family of hormones and plays an important role in growth control. The gene is located at the growth hormone locus on chromosome 17 along with four other related genes in the same transcriptional orientation; an arrangement which is thought to have evolved by a series of gene duplications. Although the five genes share a remarkably high degree of sequence identity, they are expressed selectively in different tissues. Alternative splicing generates additional isoforms of each of the five growth hormones. This particular family member is expressed mainly in the placenta and utilizes multiple transcription initiation sites. Expression of the identical mature proteins for chorionic somatomammotropin hormones 1 and 2 is upregulated during development, while the ratio of 1 to 2 increases by term. Structural and expression differences provide avenues for developmental regulation and tissue specificity. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
