specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of MIP-3alpha. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between MIP-3alpha and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between MIP-3alpha and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
storage stability :
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Assay Type: Competitive. Sensitivity: 1.0 pg/mL.

products description :
Intended Uses: This MIP-3alpha ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Rabbit MIP-3alpha. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic applications!. Principle of the Assay MIP-3alpha ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-MIP-3alpha antibody and an MIP-3alpha-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with MIP-3alpha-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the MIP-3alpha concentration since MIP-3alpha from samples and MIP-3alpha-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-MIP-3alpha antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by MIP-3alpha from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind MIP-3alpha-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The MIP-3alpha concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

uniprot summary :
CCL20: Chemotactic factor that attracts lymphocytes and, slightly, neutrophils, but not monocytes. Inhibits proliferation of myeloid progenitors in colony formation assays. May be involved in formation and function of the mucosal lymphoid tissues by attracting lymphocytes and dendritic cells towards epithelial cells. C-terminal processed forms have been shown to be equally chemotactically active for leukocytes. Possesses antibacterial activity E.coli ATCC 25922 and S.aureus ATCC 29213. Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Secreted; Chemokine; Secreted, signal peptide. Cellular Component: extracellular space; extracellular region. Molecular Function: protein binding; chemokine activity; cytokine activity. Biological Process: immune response; chemotaxis; inflammatory response; positive regulation of interleukin-1 alpha biosynthetic process; positive regulation of nitric-oxide synthase biosynthetic process
