reactivity :
Human
specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of ANX-A13. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between ANX-A13 and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between ANX-A13 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
storage stability :
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate. Assay Type: Competitive. Sensitivity: 1.0 pg/mL.
other info2 :
Intended Uses: This ANX-A13 ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Human ANX-A13. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic applications!

products description :
Principle of the assay: ANX-A13 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-ANX-A13 antibody and an ANX-A13-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with ANX-A13-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the ANX-A13 concentration since ANX-A13 from samples and ANX-A13-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-ANX-A13 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by ANX-A13 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind ANX-A13-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The ANX-A13 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a member of the annexin family. Members of this calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein family play a role in the regulation of cellular growth and in signal transduction pathways. The specific function of this gene has not yet been determined; however, it is associated with the plasma membrane of undifferentiated, proliferating endothelial cells and differentiated villus enterocytes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
uniprot summary :
ANXA13: a calcium/phospholipid-binding protein associated with the cell membrane. ANXA13 is the probable common ancestor of the annexin family of proteins. Annexins all bind to phospholipids in a calcium-dependent manner. There are at least ten different annexins in mammalian species. Annexins do not contain signal peptides, yet some annexins (A1, A2 and A5) appear to be secreted in a physiologically regulated fashion. Protein type: Calcium-binding; Lipid-binding. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 8q24.13. Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; extracellular space; basolateral plasma membrane; apical plasma membrane; plasma membrane; lipid raft. Molecular Function: calcium-dependent phospholipid binding; phosphatidylserine binding; phosphatidylcholine binding; calcium ion binding. Biological Process: negative regulation of Golgi to plasma membrane protein transport; positive regulation of Golgi to plasma membrane protein transport; cell differentiation
