Assay Type: Competitive. Detection Range: 6.25 ng/ml-100 ng/ml. Sensitivity: 3.125 ng/ml
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV% is less than 8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV% is less than 10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific to ADIPOQ has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with HRP-conjugated ADIPOQ and incubated. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between ADIPOQ (Standards or samples) and HRP-conjugated ADIPOQ with the pre-coated antibody specific for ADIPOQ. The more amount of ADIPOQ in samples, the less pre-coated antibody specific for ADIPOQ bound by HRP-conjugated ADIPOQ. Then the substrate solutions are added to the wells, respectively. And the color develops in opposite to the amount of ADIPOQ in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

uniprot summary :
Function: Important adipokine involved in the control of fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, with direct anti-diabetic, anti-atherogenic and anti-inflammatory activities. Stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in the liver and the skeletal muscle, enhancing glucose utilization and fatty-acid combustion. Antagonizes TNF-alpha by negatively regulating its expression in various tissues such as liver and macrophages, and also by counteracting its effects. Inhibits endothelial NF-kappa-B signaling through a cAMP-dependent pathway. May play a role in cell growth, angiogenesis and tissue remodeling by binding and sequestering various growth factors with distinct binding affinities, depending on the type of complex, LMW, MMW or HMW
