specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human ENO1/ENO1L1/MBPB1/MPB1. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human ENO1/ENO1L1/MBPB1/MPB1 and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, tissue homogenates, Cell lysates. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 1.25 ng/ml-80 ng/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of human ENO1/ENO1L1/MBPB1/MPB1 is typically less than 0.31 ng/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for ENO1/ENO1L1/MBPB1/MPB1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any ENO1/ENO1L1/MBPB1/MPB1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for ENO1/ENO1L1/MBPB1/MPB1 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ENO1/ENO1L1/MBPB1/MPB1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes alpha-enolase, one of three enolase isoenzymes found in mammals. Each isoenzyme is a homodimer composed of 2 alpha, 2 gamma, or 2 beta subunits, and functions as a glycolytic enzyme. Alpha-enolase in addition, functions as a structural lens protein (tau-crystallin) in the monomeric form. Alternative splicing of this gene results in a shorter isoform that has been shown to bind to the c-myc promoter and function as a tumor suppressor. Several pseudogenes have been identified, including one on the long arm of chromosome 1. Alpha-enolase has also been identified as an autoantigen in Hashimoto encephalopathy. uniprot summary :
Function: Multifunctional enzyme that, as well as its role in glycolysis, plays a part in various processes such as growth control, hypoxia tolerance and allergic responses. May also function in the intravascular and pericellular fibrinolytic system due to its ability to serve as a receptor and activator of plasminogen on the cell surface of several cell-types such as leukocytes and neurons. Stimulates immunoglobulin production.5 PublicationsManual assertion based on experiment in:Ref.3. Catalytic activity: 2-phospho-D-glycerate = phosphoenolpyruvate + H2O.1 PublicationManual assertion based on experiment in:Ref.18. Cofactor: Magnesium. Binds two Mg2+ per subunit. Required for catalysis and for stabilizing the dimer.1 PublicationManual assertion based on experiment in:Ref.39
