specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human CBR1. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human CBR1 and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 31.25 pg/ml -2000 pg/ml. Sensitivity: 7.81 pg/ml.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the Assay This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for CBR1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any CBR1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for CBR1 is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of CBR1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDR) family, which function as NADPH-dependent oxidoreductases having wide specificity for carbonyl compounds, such as quinones, prostaglandins, and various xenobiotics. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2013]
uniprot summary :
Function: NADPH-dependent reductase with broad substrate specificity. Catalyzes the reduction of a wide variety of carbonyl compounds including quinones, prostaglandins, menadione, plus various xenobiotics. Catalyzes the reduction of the antitumor anthracyclines doxorubicin and daunorubicin to the cardiotoxic compounds doxorubicinol and daunorubicinol. Can convert prostaglandin E2 to prostaglandin F2-alpha. Can bind glutathione, which explains its higher affinity for glutathione-conjugated substrates. Catalyzes the reduction of S-nitrosoglutathione.4 PublicationsManual assertion based on experiment in:Ref.14. Catalytic activity: R-CHOH-R' + NADP+ = R-CO-R' + NADPH. Enzyme regulation: Inhibited by quercetin, rutenin and its derivatives.2 PublicationsManual assertion based on experiment in:Ref.14
