specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of canine CK-MB. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between canine CK-MB and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma. Assay Type: Competitive. Detection Range: 1.56 muIU/ml -100 muIU/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of canine CK-MB is typically less than 0.78 muIU/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest canine CK-MB concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with CK-MB. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated antibody preparation specific for CK-MB. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with pre-coated CK-MB and CK-MB in samples. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of CK-MB in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic enzyme involved in energy homeostasis and is an important serum marker for myocardial infarction. The encoded protein reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens such as creatine phosphate. It acts as a homodimer in striated muscle as well as in other tissues, and as a heterodimer with a similar brain isozyme in heart. The encoded protein is a member of the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase protein family. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
uniprot summary :
Function: Reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens (e.g. creatine phosphate). Creatine kinase isoenzymes play a central role in energy transduction in tissues with large, fluctuating energy demands, such as skeletal muscle, heart, brain and spermatozoa. Catalytic activity: ATP + creatine = ADP + phosphocreatine.
