Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of rat AHSG is typically less than 125 ng/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero.

Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with AHSG. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) -conjugated antibody preparation specific for AHSG, mix well and incubated. The more the amount of AHSG in samples, the less HRP- conjugated antibody preparation specific for AHSG bound by pre-coated AHSG. Then a TMB (3,3',5,5' tetramethyl-benzidine) substrate solution is added to each well. And the color develops in opposite to the amount of AHSG in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
