specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human HB-alpha. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human HB-alpha and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, lysate for RBC. Assay Type: Competitive. Detection Range: 10.94 ng/ml-700 ng/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of human HB-alpha is typically less than 2.73 ng/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest human HB-alpha concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the assay: This assay employs the direct competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for HB-alpha has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with biotin-conjugated HB-alpha. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between HB-alpha (Standards or samples) and biotin-conjugated HB-alpha with the pre-coated HB-alpha antibody. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in opposite to the amount of HB-alpha bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
