specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of mouse INH-A. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between mouse INH-A and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Assay Type: Competitive. Detection Range: 0. 2 ng/ml -40 ng/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of mouse INH-A is typically less than 0.1 ng/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest mouse INH-A concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<15%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<15%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with goat-anti-rabbit antibody. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with an antibody specific for INH-A and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated INH-A. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled INH-A and unlabeled INH-A with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of INH-A in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

uniprot summary :
Function: Inhibins and activins inhibit and activate, respectively, the secretion of follitropin by the pituitary gland. Inhibins/activins are involved in regulating a number of diverse functions such as hypothalamic and pituitary hormone secretion, gonadal hormone secretion, germ cell development and maturation, erythroid differentiation, insulin secretion, nerve cell survival, embryonic axial development or bone growth, depending on their subunit composition. Inhibins appear to oppose the functions of activins. Inhibin deficient mice are viable but are acutely sensitive to development of gonadal sex-cord stromal tumors.3 PublicationsManual assertion based on experiment in:Ref.6
