specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of mouse VEGF-D. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between mouse VEGF-D and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, tissue homogenates. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 0.312 pg/ml -20 pg/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of mouse VEGF-D is typically less than 0.078 pg/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for VEGF-D has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any VEGF-D present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for VEGF-D is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of VEGF-D bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a member of the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) family that acts as a ligand for vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 3. Signalling through this protein is important for growth and development of endothelial and vascular tissue. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, May 2015]
uniprot summary :
Function: Growth factor active in angiogenesis, lymphangiogenesis and endothelial cell growth, stimulating their proliferation and migration and also has effects on the permeability of blood vessels. May function in the formation of the venous and lymphatic vascular systems during embryogenesis, and also in the maintenance of differentiated lymphatic endothelium in adults. Binds and activates VEGFR-3 (Flt4) receptor.
