Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with biotin-BSA and Avidin. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for PACAP. After washing, PACAP antibody conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of PACAP in sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
