uniprot entry name :
DOPO_HUMAN
specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human DBH. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human DBH and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Assay Type: Competitive. Detection Range: 2.5 ng/ml -500 ng/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of human DBH is typically less than 1.25 ng/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest human DBH concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<15%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<15%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with goat-anti-rabbit antibody. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with an antibody specific for DBH and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated DBH. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled DBH and unlabeled DBH with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of DBH in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is an oxidoreductase belonging to the copper type II, ascorbate-dependent monooxygenase family. It is present in the synaptic vesicles of postganglionic sympathetic neurons and converts dopamine to norepinephrine. It exists in both soluble and membrane-bound forms, depending on the absence or presence, respectively, of a signal peptide. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
uniprot summary :
Function: Conversion of dopamine to noradrenaline. Catalytic activity: 3,4-dihydroxyphenethylamine + ascorbate + O2 = noradrenaline + dehydroascorbate + H2O. Cofactor: Binds 1 PQQ per subunit.
