This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of mouse AMBP. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between mouse AMBP and analogues was observed.

Samples: For the quantitative determination of mouse alpha-1-microglobulin/bikunin precursor (AMBP) concentrations in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Detection Range: 1.563 ng/ml -100 ng/ml.

Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of mouse AMBP is typically less than 0.649 ng/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.

Principle of the assay: </b<This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with AMBP. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated antibody preparation specific for AMBP. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with pre-coated AMBP and AMBP in samples. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of AMBP in the samples. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
