specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of rat GnRHR. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between rat GnRHR and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Assay Type: Competitive. Detection Range: 80 pg/ml -2000 pg/ml. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of rat GnRHR is typically less than 50 pg/ml. The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest rat GnRHR concentration that could be differentiated from zero. It was determined the mean O.D value of 20 replicates of the zero standard added by their three standard deviations.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<15%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<15%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Priciple of the assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with goat-anti-rabbit antibody. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with an antibody specific for GnRHR and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated GnRHR. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled GnRHR and unlabeled GnRHR with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of GnRHR in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

induces the synthesis of pituitary gonadotropins; G-protein coupled receptor activity acts via both G(q) and G(s) signaling pathways [RGD, Feb 2006]
uniprot summary :
Function: Receptor for gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) that mediates the action of GnRH to stimulate the secretion of the gonadotropic hormones luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). This receptor mediates its action by association with G-proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system.
