specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human HLA-G. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human HLA-G and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 1.25 ng/ml-80 ng/ml. Sensitivity: Typically less than 0.31 ng/ml
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for HLA-G has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any HLA-G present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for HLA-G is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of HLA-G bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
HLA-G belongs to the HLA class I heavy chain paralogues. This class I molecule is a heterodimer consisting of a heavy chain and a light chain (beta-2 microglobulin). The heavy chain is anchored in the membrane. HLA-G is expressed on fetal derived placental cells. The heavy chain is approximately 45 kDa and its gene contains 8 exons. Exon one encodes the leader peptide, exons 2 and 3 encode the alpha1 and alpha2 domain, which both bind the peptide, exon 4 encodes the alpha3 domain, exon 5 encodes the transmembrane region, and exon 6 encodes the cytoplasmic tail. uniprot summary :
Function: Involved in the presentation of foreign antigens to the immune system. Plays a role in maternal tolerance of the fetus by mediating protection from the deleterious effects of natural killer cells, cytotoxic T-lymphocytes, macrophages and mononuclear cells.
