Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with kappa immunoglobulin light chain. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) -conjugated antibody preparation specific for kappa immunoglobulin light chain, mix well and incubated. The more the amount of kappa immunoglobulin light chain in samples, the less HRP- conjugated antibody preparation specific for kappa immunoglobulin light chain bound by pre-coated kappa immunoglobulin light chain. Then a TMB (3,3',5,5' tetramethyl-benzidine) substrate solution is added to each well. And the color develops in opposite to the amount of kappa immunoglobulin light chain in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
