Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique.The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated HBeAg. Samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) -conjugated HBeAb and incubated. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between HBeAb (Standards or samples) and HRP-conjugated HBeAb with the pre-coated HBeAg. The more amount of HBeAb in samples, the less pre-coated HBeAg bound by HRP-conjugated HBeAb. Then the substrate solutions are added to the wells, respectively. And the color develops in opposite to the amount of HBeAb in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
