specificity :
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of rat CCK. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between rat CCK and analogues was observed.
storage stability :
Unopened test kits should be stored at 2 to 8 degree C upon receipt. Please refer to pdf manual for further storage instructions.
other info1 :
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates. Assay Type: Sandwich. Detection Range: 15.6 pg/ml -1000 pg/ml. Sensitivity: 3.9 pg/ml.
other info2 :
Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%. Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%. Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
products description :
Principle of the Assay This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for CCK has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any CCK present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for CCK is added to the wells. After washing, avidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of CCK bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

ncbi summary :
brain-gut peptide with hemacrine and autocrine function in the gut [RGD, Feb 2006]
uniprot summary :
Function: This peptide hormone induces gall bladder contraction and the release of pancreatic enzymes in the gut. Its function in the brain is not clear. Binding to CCK-A receptors stimulates amylase release from the pancreas, binding to CCK-B receptors stimulates gastric acid secretion.
