purity :
Protein G chromatography
storage stability :
Lyophilized samples are stable for 2 years from date of receipt when stored at -70 degree C. Reconstituted antibody can be aliquoted and stored frozen at < -20 degree C for at least for six months without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles.
tested application :
Immunohistochemistry - Frozen (IHC-F), Flow Cytometry (FC/FACS)
app notes :
FC: 1:100-1:800. IHC (Frozen): 1:50-1:200. Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application.
image1 heading :
Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
other info1 :
Preparation: This antibody was produced from a hybridoma (mouse myeloma fused with spleen cells from a mouse) immunized with 293 cells transfected with human CCR6. Antigen: Human CCR6 transfected 293 cells. Reconstitution Buffer: PBS (sterile)
other info2 :
Reconstitution: Reconstitute the antibody with 200 ul sterile PBS and the final concentration is 500 ug/ml. Note: This antibody was selected for its ability to detect human CCR6, not other CCRs.
products description :
CCR6 is a seven transmembrane-spanning G protein-coupled receptor that binds the chemokine MIP3alpha and mediates the chemoattraction of B and T lymphocytes.

ncbi summary :
This gene encodes a member of the beta chemokine receptor family, which is predicted to be a seven transmembrane protein similar to G protein-coupled receptors. The gene is preferentially expressed by immature dendritic cells and memory T cells. The ligand of this receptor is macrophage inflammatory protein 3 alpha (MIP-3 alpha). This receptor has been shown to be important for B-lineage maturation and antigen-driven B-cell differentiation, and it may regulate the migration and recruitment of dentritic and T cells during inflammatory and immunological responses. Alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode the same protein have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
uniprot summary :
Function: Receptor for a C-C type chemokine. Binds to MIP-3-alpha/LARC and subsequently transduces a signal by increasing the intracellular calcium ions level. Ref.1. Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Tissue specificity: Spleen, lymph nodes, appendix, and fetal liver. Expressed in lymphocytes, T-cells and B-cells but not in natural killer cells, monocytes or granulocytes. Induction: By IL2/interleukin-2. Sequence similarities: Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. Caution: It is uncertain whether Met-1 or Met-6 is the initiator. Sequence caution: The sequence CAB02144.1 differs from that shown. Reason: Erroneous initiation.
