Antibody Generation: This antibody was produced from a hybridoma (mouse myeloma fused with spleen cells from a Armenian Hamster) immunized with mouse Th1 cells. IgG2 fraction of the culture supernatant was purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
other info2 :
Reconstitution: Reconstitute the antibody with 400 ul sterile PBS and the final concentration is 500 ug/ml. Antigen: Mouse Th1 cells . Reconstitution buffer: PBS (sterile)
products description :
CD40 ligand (CD40L), also known as CD154, TNFSF5, TRAP or gp39, is a 260 amino acid type II transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the TNF family. Murine CD40L consists of a 22 aa cytoplasmic domain, a 24 aa transmembrane domain, and 214 aa extracellular domain bearing a single glycosylation site. CD40L is expressed predominantly on activated CD4+ T lymphocytes, and also found in other types of cells, including NK cells, mast cells, basophils and eosinophils. Murine CD40L shares 78% amino acid sequence identity with human CD40L. Native bioactive soluble CD40L exists. Soluble human trimeric CD40L secreted by stimulated T cells has been shown to be generated by proteolysis in the microsomes. Both membrane bound and soluble CD40L induce similar effects on B cells.

uniprot summary :
Function: Cytokine that binds to TNFRSF5. Mediates B-cell proliferation in the absence of co-stimulus as well as IgE production in the presence of IL-4. Involved in immunoglobulin class switching . By similarity. Subunit structure: Homotrimer. Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Single-pass type II membrane protein. CD40 ligand, soluble form: Secreted. Tissue specificity: Specifically expressed on activated CD4+ T-lymphocytes. Post-translational modification: The soluble form derives from the membrane form by proteolytic processing . By similarity. Sequence similarities: Belongs to the tumor necrosis factor family.
