Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
other info1 :
Molecular Formula: C189 H286 N48 O56 S5
other info2 :
Warning: It is practically impossible to recover a peptide that has aggregated in the presence of salt. If sufficient peptide is available, test the solubility on a small sample first. Please not that DMSO can completely oxidize the free thiol groups of cysteine in short-chain peptides within minutes and should be avoided as a solvent for these peptides. Peptides containing Trp, Met, Cys, Asn or Gln require special car to avoid oxidation; oxygen free water should be used.

products description :
Endothelins (ET) show potent constrictor activity in vascular and non-vascular smooth muscle. This family of 21-amino acid peptides exists in at least three isoforms, ET-1, ET-2, and ET-3, and is produced in endothelial and epithelial cells. ET's can mediate biological effects in cells and tissues, and have been shown to bind to an ET receptor in the lung, kidney, heart and liver.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is proteolytically processed to release a secreted peptide termed endothelin 1. This peptide is a potent vasoconstrictor and is produced by vascular endothelial cells. Endothelin 1 also can affect the central nervous system. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2009]
uniprot summary :
Function: Endothelins are endothelium-derived vasoconstrictor peptides. Subcellular location: Secreted. Tissue specificity: Expressed in lung, placental stem villi vessels and in cultured placental vascular smooth muscle cells. Ref.11. Sequence similarities: Belongs to the endothelin/sarafotoxin family.
