storage stability :
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degree C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

APOL1 is a secreted high density lipoprotein which binds to apolipoprotein A-l. Apolipoprotien A-l is a relatively abundant plasma protein and is the major apoprotein of HDL. It is involved in the formation of most cholesteryl esters in plasma and also promotes efflux of cholesterol from cells. The apolipoprotein L family member may play a role in lipid exhange and transport throughout the body, as well as in reverse cholesterol transport from peripheral cells to the liver.
