Note: Though some of Small Size Genomic DNA can be used for southern blot analysis, we strongly recommend customers use our Genomic DNA product line for southern blot studies. All plant genomic DNA concentration was measured by pico green method to assure the true quantity. Due to the characteristics of plant genomic DNA, the concentration measured by UV is about 4 times more than the true value. Quality Control: 1. The quality and purity of genomic DNA were tested by spectrophotometer and electrophoresis. A260/280 is between 1.8-2.0. (Detected In IE, pH 8.0) . 2. RNAse treatment to ensure there IS no RNA contamination. 3: Genomic D.NA was successfully digested by Hind III. 4. A specifiC fragment of actin gene, ~800bp, was successfully amPlified from the genomic DNA.
