products description :
Recombinant human PPAR is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. This nuclear receptor functions as a transcription factor and plays an important role in controlling differentiation and fatty acid metabolism. Activation of this receptor appears to be vital in modulating the expression of metabolic control proteins and consequently controlling fatty acid metabolism in cardiac muscle.
