Supplied as a lyophilized powder from delipidated, heat inactivated, stable whole milk. No preseratives added. Reconstitute with 500ul sterile ddH2O. Dilute further with PBS, pH 7.2, 0.05% Tween, 1% BSA.
storage stability :
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degree C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
tested application :
Suitable for use as a calibrator to prepare standard curves in quantitative determinations of human free secretory component. Other applications have not been tested

This a standard is prepared from a patient that lacks any immunoglobulins in the milk. The concentration was measured by ELISA with a purified human SC as a primary standard. This standard has been tested and found negative for HbsAg and antibodies to HIV (HTLVIII).
