Recognizes feline infectious peritonitis virus (FIPV) type 1 and 2. Specific for the nucleocapsid. Shown to react with canine coronavirus (CCV), porcine coronavirus transmissable gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) and ferret coronavirus. Some reactivity has been observed against bovine coronavirus (BCV). Exhibits negative reactivity against feline leukemia virus, feline immunodeficiency virus, feline calcivirus, feline Herpes virus, canine adenovirus (type 2), canine distemper virus, canine parvovirus and canine parainfluenza virus.

Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Frozen, paraffin): Requires antigen retrieval in sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0 is recommended. Wstern Blot (Reducing conditions): Detects a band of 50-56kD that represents the nucleocapsid. Also detects specific bands at 56 and 46kD in reducing gels with canine coronavirus (CCV) as the antigen. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Pairs:.
