Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry and Kinase assays. Dilution: . Western Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml of this lot detected Mps1 HeLa total cell extract. Kinase Assay: Has been reported by an independent laboratory to immunoprecipitate Mps1 from HeLa total cell extract. The immunoprecipitates were then used in a radioactive kinase assay. Immunocytochemistry: Has been reported by an independent laboratory to show positive immunostaining for Mps1 in U2OS or HeLa cells permeabilized with 0.5% Triton-X-100 and fixed with methanol or paraformaldehyde.

uniprot summary :
Function: Involved in the regulation of the onset of mitosis. Involved in a pathway that coordinates cell proliferation and differentiation. Implicated in spindle pole body (SPD) duplication. Dual specificity kinase that can phosphorylate serine, threonine and tyrosine residues. Phosphorylates the SPC29 and SPC110 spindle pole body components. Ref.6 Ref.7. Catalytic activity: ATP + a protein = ADP + a phosphoprotein. Post-translational modification: Autophosphorylated. Sequence similarities: Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. Ser/Thr protein kinase family.Contains 1 protein kinase domain.
