Recombinant Chlamydia pneumonia antigen is derived from VD2-VD3 region of its major outer membrane protein, this region is recognized only -by Chlamydia pneumonia antibody, this protein contains 160 amino acids with molecular size about 21.5kDa, it forms monomer and dimer on SDS-PAGE gel, the majority of protein forms dimer, the dimer migrates at the molecular size 42 kDa.
