catalog number :
MBS571936
products type :
Secondary Antibody
products full name :
Swine anti Rabbit Ig light chains kappa and lambda (free and bound)
products short name :
Swine anti Rabbit Ig light chains kappa and lambda (free and bound)
specificity :
Precipitating polyclonal Swine antiSerum to Rabbit light chains, free and bound
form :
Delipidated, heat inactivated lyophilized stable whole serum.
concentration :
The protein and IgG concentration in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled swine serum. No foreign proteins added.
storage stability :
The lyophilized antiserum is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at 4 degree C, prolonged storage at or below -20 degree C. It is reconstituted by adding 1ml sterile distilled water.
Lyophilized at 4 degree C: at least 10 years. Reconstituted at or below -20 degree C: 3-5 years. Reconstituted at 4 degree C: 7 days.
tested application :
Immunoprecipitation (IP)
app notes :
Immunoprecipitation. In immunoelectrophoresis use 2 1-11 or equivalent against 120 1-11 antiserum. In double radial
immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony) use a rosette arrangement with 101-11 antiserum in a 3 mm diameter centre well and 2 1-11 serum
samples (neat and serially diluted) in 2 mm diameter peripheral wells. In single immunodiffusion. use 1 % antiserum in agar gel to establish a stander curve. Preciptin titre not less than 1:64 when tested against normal rabbit serum in agar block titration.
other info1 :
Preservative: No preservative added, as it may interfere with the antibody activity. No foreign protein added. Immunogen: Purified light chains isolated from polyclonal rabbit IgG. Freund's complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure. Adsorption: Immunoaffinity adsorbed using insolubilized antigens as required to eliminate antibodies reacting with the Fc fragments of immunoglobulins or with other plasma proteins. Product Type: Secondary Antibodies.
other info2 :
Cross-reactivity Note: Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to immunoglobulins, since Ig of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity of this antiserum has not been tested in detail, but a wide scale of reactivity with IgG of other mammalian species must be assumed. The degree of cross-reactivity depends in addition to the phylogenetic relationship also on the concentrations of the reactants and the sensitivity of the assay format. Antibody Titre: Precipitin titre not less than 1:64 when tested against normal rabbit serum in agar block titration.
