products type :
Secondary Antibody
products full name :
Goat anti Swine IgG (Fc specific)
products short name :
[Goat anti Swine IgG (Fc specific)]
specificity :
Precipitating polyclonal Goat antiSerum to Swine IgG, Fc specific.
storage stability :
The lyophilized antiserum is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4°C; prolonged storage at or below -20°C. Dilutions may be prepared by adding phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the antiserum. Diluted antiserum should be stored at +4°C, not refrozen, and preferably used the same day.
tested application :
Precipitation assays.
app notes :
Precipitation assays. In immunoelectrophoresis use 2 ?l serum or equivalent against 120 ?l antiserum. In double radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony) use a rosette arrangement with 10 ?l antiserum in 3 mm diameter center well and 2 ?l serum samples (neat and serially diluted in 2 mm diameter peripheral wells.
other info1 :
Source: Highly purified normal IgG isolated from pooled swine serum. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure. Product: Delipidated, heat inactivated, lyophilized, stable whole antiserum No preservative added Total protein and IgG concentrations in the antiserum are comparable to those of pooled normal goat serum. No foreign proteins added. Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water. Cross reactivity: The antiSerum does not cross-react with any other component of the Swine immunoglobulin system. Inter-species cross-reactivity is a normal feature of antibodies to immunoglobulins, since Ig of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity of this antiSerum has not been tested in detail.

products description :
The reactivity of the antiserum is restricted to the Fc part of the IgG molecule. In immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion, using various antiserum concentrations against normal swine serum a single precipitin line is obtained which shows a reaction of identity with the precipitin line obtained with purified IgG. No precipitation reaction is obtained with purified IgA, IgM, and IgG/Fab fragments. In precipitating techniques as immunoelectrophoresis and radial immunodiffusion to identify the presence of IgG in swine serum or other body fluids or to determine its concentration. To prepare an immunoadsorbent for the purification of swine IgG from serum or plasma. This antiserum is not intended for use in non-precipitating antibody- binding or other highly sensitive assays. For such use labelled reagents, meeting the necessary specificity and performance requirements are available.
