other info1 :
Domain: Ig-like C2. Host Note: Optimized DNA sequence encoding Human extracellular domain of human CD155 including a C-terminal 6His tag was expressed in HEK293 cells. Biological Activity: The biological activity of Human PVR was measured by the binding ability of immobilized recombinant Human CD155 (2ug/ml, 100 ul/well) to Human DNAM1 (linear rande of 1-32 ng/ml) in a functional ELISA assay. Reconsitution: A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.
other info2 :
Endotoxin: Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method. Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug). Molecular Weight Note: Recombinant CD155 is a monomer protein consisting of 329 amino acid residue subunits, due to glycosylation migrates as an approximately 55-60 kDa protein on SDS-PAGE.

products description :
hPVR (CD155) is a member of the immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily, with three linked extracellular Ig-like domains followed by a membrane-spanning domain and a cytoplasmic domain. Although a physiological function for CD155 is unknown, the protein binds specifically to the extracellular matrix component vitronectin (Lange et al., 2001). Transcriptional regulation of the CD155 gene is tightly controlled.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is a transmembrane glycoprotein belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. The external domain mediates cell attachment to the extracellular matrix molecule vitronectin, while its intracellular domain interacts with the dynein light chain Tctex-1/DYNLT1. The gene is specific to the primate lineage, and serves as a cellular receptor for poliovirus in the first step of poliovirus replication. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2008]
uniprot summary :
PVR: Mediates NK cell adhesion and triggers NK cell effector functions. Binds two different NK cell receptors: CD96 and CD226. These interactions accumulates at the cell-cell contact site, leading to the formation of a mature immunological synapse between NK cell and target cell. This may trigger adhesion and secretion of lytic granules and IFN-gamma and activate cytoxicity of activated NK cells. May also promote NK cell-target cell modular exchange, and PVR transfer to the NK cell. This transfer is more important in some tumor cells expressing a lot of PVR, and may trigger fratricide NK cell activation, providing tumors with a mechanism of immunoevasion. Plays a role in mediating tumor cell invasion and migration. Serves as a receptor for poliovirus attachment to target cells. May play a role in axonal transport of poliovirus, by targeting virion-PVR-containing endocytic vesicles to the microtubular network through interaction with DYNLT1. This interaction would drive the virus-containing vesicle to the axonal retrograde transport. Belongs to the nectin family. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. Protein type: Immunoglobulin superfamily; Membrane protein, integral; Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Receptor, misc. Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19q13.2.
