Human CD32B (Fc RIIB), the low-affinity inhibitory Fc receptor (Fc R), is highly homologous in its extracellular domain to CD32A (Fc RIIA), an activating Fc R.CD32B is coexpressed with activating Fc receptors on monocytes, macrophages, basophils and mast cells. CD32B is also expressed by B lymphocytes, the sole Fc R expressed by these cells, where it functions by countering B- cell receptor (BCR) -induced activation.
