other info1 :
Domain: Ig-like C2. Host Note: Optimized DNA sequence encoding Human extracellular domain of human CD31 including a C-terminal 6His tag was expressed in HEK293 cells. Biological Activity: Recombinant Human CD31 activity was determined by its ability to support the adhesion of Jurkat human leukemic T-cells are added to recombinant human CD31 coated plates( 3.3ug/mL, 100uL/well) in the presence of PMA, approximately 50%-65% will adhere specifically after 30 minutes at 37.
other info2 :
Endotoxin: Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method. Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug). Molecular Weight Note: Recombinant CD31 is a monomer protein consisting of 585 amino acid residue subunits, due to glycosylation migrates as an approximately 100 kDa protein on SDS-PAGE.

products description :
Platelet/endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1, also known as CD31, is a member of the Ig gene superfamily expressed at high density at the lateral borders of endothelial cells and at a lower density on the surface of hematopoietic cells including T lymphocytes. By establishing homophilic interactions between endothelium- and leukocyte- expressed CD31, this molecule has been shown to facilitate leukocyte transendothelial migration (TEM) in vitro and in vivo.

ncbi summary :
The protein encoded by this gene is found on the surface of platelets, monocytes, neutrophils, and some types of T-cells, and makes up a large portion of endothelial cell intercellular junctions. The encoded protein is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and is likely involved in leukocyte migration, angiogenesis, and integrin activation. [provided by RefSeq, May 2010]
