Human Serum (CRP free) was purified by affinity chromatography.

Supplied as a frozen liquid. Contains less than 0.02 ug/mL of human CRP, by ELISA.

Ships on dry ice. Upon receipt, store at -20°C.

CRP free serum can be used for preparation of CRP standards and calibrators.

Source Note: Pooled normal Human serum. Affinity column was prepared by coupling anti-CRP monoclonal antibodies with BrCN-activated sepharose CL 4B. Contaminants: Not determined. The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the pentaxin family. It is involved in several host defense related functions based on its ability to recognize foreign pathogens and damaged cells of the host and to initiate their elimination by interacting with humoral and cellular effector systems in the blood.
