other info1 :
Protein Type: Recombinant. Biological Significance: Lungkine is a CXC chemokine that is expressed in lung epithelial cells and, to a lesser extent, in certain fetal tissues. No human homolog has been identified and a specific cell surface receptor has not yet been found. Lungkine expression in lung tissue is elevated in response to inflammation, at which time it acts to specifically recruit neutrophils and direct them into the lung airway. Bioactivity: Determined by its ability to chemoattract human neutrophils using a concentration range of 20.0-100.0 ng/ml. Endotoxin Levels: Endotoxin level is less than 0.1 ng per ug (1 EU/ug).
