A signle precipitin arc was observed against anti-Mouse IgM (mu chain specific), and anti-Mouse serum when assayed by Immunoelectrophoresis. No reaction was observed against anti-Mouse IgG F(c). Some ligh chain cross-reactivity will occur with anti-Mouse IgG.

Source Note: Prepared from normal mouse serum by a multi-step process. Biological Significance: Immunoglobulin M, or IgM for short, is a basic antibody that is produced by B cells. It is the primary antibody against A and B antigens on red blood cells. IgM is by far the physically largest antibody in the human circulatory system. It is the first antibody to appear in response to initial exposure to antigen.
