products description :
Product Use: This Malaria pLDH protein can be used as a control/standard in qualitative assays measuting levels of plasmodium vivax lactate dehydrogenas (pLDH pv). Biological Significance: Malaria is a serious parasitic disease spred to human by a bite form an infected Anopheles mosquito. There are five species of the parasite that infects human: Plasmoidum falciparum P. viva, P ovale, P. malarie and P knowlesi. At present, malaria is diagosed by microscopic examination of blood. Plasmodium LDH (pLDH) from P vivax, p malarie and P. ovale ) exhibit 90-92% identity to PfLDH from P falciparum.
